Graduate Structural Engineer
Are you an ambitious and highly motivated Graduate Structural Engineer, experienced or ready to start your career after university, looking for a secure role offering great opportunities to progress and train?
The Role
* work on a diverse and interesting range of projects throughout the southwest and across different sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education and health.
* working with exceptional colleagues on the structural design of challenging projects that will improve your knowledge and understanding of structural engineering.
* Liaise and co-ordinate with our infrastructure, highways and drainage engineers and you will be involved in every aspect of scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and project management.
* produce drawings using AutoCAD or Revit
* prepare structural design calculations on a project basis using the current Eurocodes, BS
Standards and Approved Codes of Practice
* You will assist with coordinating the structural and civil engineering aspects of the design process
* liaise with other engineering disciplines within the practice
* Accompany senior engineers to site visits/meetings
The Candidate
* relevant BEng/MEng in Engineering
* 12 months experience working in an engineering environment (preferable but not essential)
* Enthusiastic self-motivated team player
* good verbal and written communication skills
* strong work ethic
* ability to work under own initiative
* A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
