Start Your Software Engineering Career at EDW Technology

Are you graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM discipline? Are you curious, ambitious, and eager to build software that solves real-world challenges?

What You'll Be Doing

As a Graduate Software Developer, you'll work as part of an agile, cross-functional engineering team, learning from experienced software engineers while contributing to the design, development, and support of our products.

You'll have the opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise software that powers some of the UK's leading energy suppliers. You'll be supported by experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience from day one, and contribute to systems that process millions of transactions and industry events every year.

This is more than a graduate role. It's an opportunity to develop your technical skills, learn modern software engineering practices, and build a long-term career in a growing technology business.

You'll:

Develop and maintain high-quality software using Java and SQL.

Build and enhance APIs, business services, and user-facing applications.

Collaborate with developers, testers, analysts, and product specialists.

Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.

Write and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality.

Investigate and resolve defects and operational issues.

Gain exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud and container technologies.

Contribute to large-scale projects supporting the UK's evolving energy market.

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in your potential than your experience.

You'll have:

A degree (or expected degree) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another  STEM-related subject.

A solid understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented development.

Exposure to Java or another object-oriented programming language.

Basic understanding of databases and SQL.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and collaboration skills.

An eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
