Graduate Quantity Surveyor - M&E
London / South East
£30,000-£38,000 + Package
We're recruiting a Graduate Quantity Surveyor for a growing mechanical and electrical contractor delivering complex building services projects across London and the South East.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Quantity Surveying graduate to begin their career within M&E contracting, gaining exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of major projects. The business delivers complete mechanical and electrical packages, including design, procurement, installation and commissioning.
The Role
Support the commercial management of M&E projects
Assist with valuations, applications for payment and cost reporting
Review subcontractor quotations and packages
Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
Assist with variations and change control
Monitor project costs against budgets
Help prepare forecasts and commercial reports
Support subcontractor payment assessments
Assist with final accounts and project close-out
Work closely with Project Managers, engineers and senior commercial staff
The Candidate
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good communication and organisation
Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail
Confident using Microsoft Excel and Office
Interest in mechanical, electrical or building services construction
Placement or construction experience advantageous but not essential
