Position: Graduate Mental Health Assistant

Start Date: September 2024

Primary School for Children with Special Needs and Emotional Issues

Overview: Are you a passionate graduate or soon-to-be graduate aspiring to become an Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or mental health support worker? About the Role: We are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join our team starting in September 2024. This role is ideal for graduates in Psychology or Criminology who are aiming to build a career in mental health or educational support. You will be working in a school that caters to students with various needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), Autism, and behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to students with special needs and emotional issues
Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans
Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing environment
Help students with their academic and social development
Ideal Candidate:

Graduate or soon-to-be graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field
Aspiring Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or mental health support worker
Passionate about working with children with special needs
Motivated, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact
Some experience working with children in various settings is beneficial
Willing to commit to at least 12 months, providing consistency for the children
