We have a fantastic opportunity available at Bouygues Energies & Services (BYES) for a Graduate Site Engineer (mechanical & electrical) to join our Hinkley Point C (HPC) team. 

It’s a very exciting time to be joining Bouygues! We have been delivering a Turn-key EPC contract for the Hinkley Point C new build nuclear power plant Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG).  

The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work alongside a group of very dedicated and knowledgeable individuals within our team, and be able to contribute to the work that we are carrying out on this innovative and technically challenging project.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coordination of allocated work packages for design, manufacturing and installation activities.

Review the deliverables issued by the installer and equipment suppliers, ensuring they meet the technical and quality requirements of the Client.

Coordinate with Layout team to compile As-built information and update PDMS models as required.

Technical supervision/management of the equipment suppliers (planning, reporting etc).

Participate/contribute to the detailed design of the equipment and their procurement process.

Support the Work Package Lead in supplier selection, subcontract management, manufacturing surveillance and management of inspections.

Liaise with the erection, testing & commissioning team to prepare method statements and risk assessments.

Graduate programme:

You will be enrolled onto our graduate programme which is a two year structured training scheme. The programme is designed to enhance and develop soft skills and technical capability through a blend of classroom-based learning and on the job training. 

What you`ll need:

A 2:1 (or above) in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical preferred)

Strong communication skills, organisation, and attention to detail.

A genuine desire to work in the nuclear industry!

£28,000 annual salary reviewed biannually

£2,000 joining bonus (if you achieve a 2:1 or above in your degree)
