Graduate Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Grangemouth
Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 + Benefits

Are you a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering graduate looking to build a career within manufacturing?

We are recruiting a Graduate Manufacturing Process Engineer for a large and complex manufacturing operation near Grangemouth.

This is a broad, hands-on engineering role where you will work on improvement projects right across the manufacturing site. Rather than being restricted to one particular area, you could be involved in projects covering plant and equipment performance, process optimisation, environmental impact, waste reduction, safety or operational efficiency.

It's an excellent opportunity to take your engineering knowledge and apply it to real manufacturing challenges.

What will you be doing?

Support and deliver manufacturing and process improvement projects
Investigate production and engineering problems using root cause analysis
Analyse operational data to identify improvement opportunities
Improve manufacturing processes, plant performance and efficiency
Contribute to environmental, emissions and waste reduction projects
Support equipment and plant improvement initiatives
Participate in safety and operational improvement projects
Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering and quality teams
Produce clear technical analysis and project reports

What are we looking for?

You'll have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, with a Master's qualification preferred but not essential.

We're happy to consider different levels of practical experience. You could be:

A graduate looking for your first permanent engineering position
A graduate with an industrial placement or internship
An engineer who has already gained relevant manufacturing experiencePrevious manufacturing experience is advantageous but isn't essential.

More important is that you can demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals, analytical and problem-solving ability, curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how manufacturing processes and equipment work and how they can be improved.

Why consider this opportunity?

This isn't a narrowly defined graduate position.

You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of engineering challenges across a large manufacturing site and work alongside experienced people from engineering, production, maintenance and quality.

For someone looking to build a career in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, projects or operational excellence, it offers an excellent foundation and considerable scope to develop.

RIGHT TO WORK:

Please note that sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future so only candidates with unrestricted right to work in the UK will be considered.

LOCATION:

We're looking for candidates within a commutable distance of Falkirk/Grangemouth. If applying from outside of this region please advise of your plan for relocation along with reasons for moving to the area
