We're working with a well-regarded secondary school in Wakefield that is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. This role is particularly suited to graduates who want to gain first-hand classroom experience, develop their confidence working with young people, and explore whether teaching is the right long-term career path.
You'll step into lessons when teachers are absent, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the work that's been set. No previous teaching experience is required, but you'll need strong communication skills, confidence in front of a group, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
The Role
Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment
Support students with their learning and engagement
Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes
Gain valuable experience across Key Stages 3 and 4
