MEP Electrical Design Engineer / Building Services / Graduate Electrical Design Engineer / Junior Electrical Design Engineer / Electrical Engineer
Due to continuing success and business growth a role has arisen for a talented Graduate Electrical Engineer to join a growing team. This role is to join a busy, growing engineering consultancy, where you will be part of a close knit team of engineers working on the mechanical and electrical design within buildings in a range of sectors including rail ad transport infrastructure, conservation, healthcare and commercial.
You will be working closely with other team members becoming confident in the design of Electrical and Mechanical services in buildings, becoming efficient at AutoCAD and other design software and assisting with the preparation of feasibility studies, project design and contract administration. It’s a friendly supportive working environment, where you’ll feel at home from day one. As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will benefit from on the job learning experiences and mentoring whilst working on a range of projects
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of outline design schemes
* Visiting site during the construction phase to monitor progress
* Ensuring services conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards
* Production drawings under the direction of Engineers
* Assisting with the checking of documents and carrying out detailed electrical calculations
* Undertaking duties as indicated by your team manager to obtain experience and training in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Qualifications
* MEng / BEng in Electrical Engineering
* Some experience in a role relating to building services would be beneficial although not essential
* Knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD would be advantageous but not essential
* High quality oral and written communications (reports, instructions etc)
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
