Description:
We’re keen to speak to skilled Graduate Civil Engineers who are ready to launch their careers within an established and successful company with works in railway civil engineering. Your responsibilities as a Graduate Civil Engineer:
* Collaborate with the Design Management team to coordinate temporary and permanent works design, ensuring smooth integration with the construction team across various civil engineering disciplines
* Analyse client requirements to determine design needs and establish the scope of works before commencing design activities.
* Liaise with sub-contract design consultants, briefing them on requirements, and obtain estimates
* Assist in placing sub-contract orders for works
* Review designer’s deliverables to ensure designs fulfil the clients remit and comply with the standards and regulations applicable to the contract.
* Provide support to the construction team as required
* Carry-out technical reviews of all documents submitted by sub-contract design engineers
* Attend progress meetings with clients to report on progress and deal with queries. Update and maintain design progress and keep database updated.
Requirements as a Graduate Civil Engineer:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Building Engineering
* Ideally some experience of working within the engineering or construction industry
* Great communication skills
