Description:

Our client is a well-established and respected supplier to the construction and civil engineering sector, specialising in solutions for precast concrete, reinforced concrete, steel reinforcement, and associated structural products. They work closely with contractors, consulting engineers, precast manufacturers and builders' merchants across a wide range of commercial, residential and infrastructure projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an ambitious Graduate Civil or Structural Engineer who is eager to build a long-term career within technical sales.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering or construction graduate to join a structured graduate programme with comprehensive product, technical and commercial training.

Working alongside experienced sales professionals and technical specialists, you will develop the knowledge and confidence to provide engineering solutions, build customer relationships and manage projects from enquiry through to completion.

As your experience grows, you will take ownership of your own customer portfolio and develop business opportunities across your territory.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop a strong technical understanding of the company's product range, including precast concrete solutions, steel reinforcement products and structural construction systems.

* Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consulting engineers, precast manufacturers, merchants and other key stakeholders.

* Identify new business opportunities while managing and developing existing customer accounts.

* Provide technical product advice and recommend suitable engineering solutions.

* Prepare quotations, follow up enquiries and negotiate commercial agreements.

* Conduct customer visits and site meetings to understand project requirements.

* Liaise with internal technical, estimating and operations teams to ensure excellent customer service.

* Monitor construction projects and specifications to maximise sales opportunities.

* Keep up to date with industry developments, market trends and competitor activity.

Candidate Profile

* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related engineering discipline.

* Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Ability to build credibility with customers and technical professionals.

* Well organised with strong attention to detail.

* Full UK driving licence
