This Graduate Business Development Representative role offers the opportunity to join a company known for developing innovative optical inspection and microscopy solutions used by leading manufacturers around the world. The business is investing heavily in its sales development function, introducing Salesforce and placing greater emphasis on digital engagement and lead generation to support future growth.
As a Graduate Business Development Representative, you'll be joining a growing team where training, development and progression are encouraged. This opportunity would suit a graduate with at least one year's relevant experience gained through an industrial placement, year-in-industry programme or post-graduate employment.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Graduate Business Development Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
Researching prospective customers and identifying new business opportunities
Conducting outbound outreach through phone, email and professional networking channels
Qualifying opportunities and booking demonstrations for the field sales team
Following up inbound enquiries and supporting lead development activities
Working closely with sales colleagues to ensure a smooth handover of qualified opportunities

Key Requirements
To be considered for this Graduate Business Development Representative, you will need:
Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Technology or a related discipline

Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with customers and prospective clients
Interest in technical products and engineering environments
A proactive, resilient and target-driven approach

Additional performance/target related bonus (IRO £5,000 to £8,000)
