We have a number of Practice Nurse Vacancies in and around London starting in the next few weeks.

Mediccover has partnered with several GP surgeries, OOH clinics, Walk in Centres, and HMP Prisons across London who are looking for regular or ad-hoc Locums.
Job Responsibilities
• Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as required. Such tasks may include:
• Chronic disease reviews including; COPD and Diabetes
• Asthma reviews
• Cytology screening
• Childhood and adult vaccinations. Administering vaccines under patient group directions.
• Wound care including compression bandaging
• Removal of sutures
• Contraception advice
• Doppler studies and interpretation
• Prescribed injections – including Zoladex implants
• Urinalysis
• ECGs
• Venepuncture
• Requesting basic pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
• Assisting GPs and contraceptive nurse with minor surgery and coil fittings
• Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
• NHS health promotion programmes: holistic assessment and lifestyle advice on diet, smoking, alcohol intake and exercise. Facilitating behaviour change.
Current Experience working as a Practice Nurse along with current NMC registration is essential.
