Goods In / Warehouse Operative

Location: Maldon

39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday: 8am to 5pm, Friday: 8am to 4pm

Overtime paid at time and a half after completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday.
Permanent, full-time contract based on hourly pay.

Role Purpose:

As a Goods Inward Operative, you will play a vital role in organising and controlling the goods inward area. Your responsibilities will include facilitating the distribution of goods to other branches efficiently and in a timely manner. A well-organised and accessible goods inward area is essential to support the Parts/Showroom team.

Key Responsibilities:

Transfer stock into stores and showroom, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Unpack and process supplier parcels, checking for quality and quantity.
Load and unload internal lorries, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Utilise forklift skills (desirable) to handle stock.
Demonstrate proficiency in general computer skills, including email and internet use.
Display good numeracy and literacy skills while recording stock data.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Be a team player, capable of working alone or with other team members.
Exhibit initiative and problem-solving skills.
Hold a valid full driving licence.
Maintain good health and fitness levels.Additional Information:
