Description:

Are you an experienced Goods-in Inspector or Quality Inspector with a background in manufacturing or engineering? Do you have excellent attention to detail and experience inspecting components against technical specifications? If so, this Goods-in Inspector role could be a great opportunity for you!

This Goods-in Inspector position is based in Andover, Hampshire. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00, with an early finish of 15:30 on Friday. The role is permanent, onsite, and paying up to £30,000 depending on experience.

As the Goods-in Inspector, you’ll be responsible for inspecting incoming components and materials to ensure they meet design specifications, quality standards and customer requirements. This will include inspecting bespoke components such as PCBs, metalwork, seals and gaskets, identifying and recording non-conformances, and segregating suspect goods. You’ll also support counterfeit component checks using inspection equipment including X-Ray, assist with customer returns, conduct random inspections of goods and kits, and work closely with Stores, Planning, Operations and other internal teams to resolve quality issues. The role will also involve using precision measurement equipment and maintaining accurate quality records and documentation.

You will need:

Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally electronics manufacturing

Experience reading and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings

Experience using inspection and measurement equipment such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers and Slip Gauges

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection

Experience using MRP or ERP systems would be advantageous

Level 3 qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline would be desirable

Knowledge of IPC-A-600, ESD control, CMM equipment or Dangerous Goods would be advantageous
