Description:

An innovative space organisation is seeking a GNC Engineer to contribute to the design, development and verification of Guidance, Navigation and Control systems for complex satellite missions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced GNC and computer vision technologies, contributing to highly innovative spacecraft systems and missions.

The Role

You will contribute across the GNC development lifecycle, including:

Developing GNC subsystem requirements, architectures, FDIR and V&V strategies.
Supporting the integration of GNC algorithms, computer vision and GNC hardware.
Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure GNC performance and system compatibility.
Conducting research into emerging GNC technologies, algorithms and hardware.
Supporting algorithm development, hardware selection and system integration.
Contributing to GNC software architecture and flight software solutions.
Performing technical trade-offs and subsystem-level analysis.
Working with customers and suppliers to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
Supporting mission technical leadership and on-orbit spacecraft operations.
About You

You'll ideally have:

A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a relevant engineering/science discipline.
2+ years' experience in a GNC-related engineering role.
Intermediate-level MATLAB/Simulink experience.
Experience developing GNC subsystem architectures.
Experience across at least three of the following:
GNC requirements derivation and verification
Control law and navigation algorithm development
Translating algorithms into operational flight software
GNC hardware integration and testing
GNC technology and hardware selection
Desirable Experience

Flight dynamics and relative orbital dynamics.
On-orbit satellite operations.
C/C++ and embedded software development.
Knowledge of spacecraft capture systems and associated technologies.
