Description:

We are currently seeking a Global Technical Lead to work with our global FMCG client Elida Beauty, renowned for brands such as V05, TIGI, Timotei and Impulse, to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position can be based in Liverpool, Battersea or Milton Keynes. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Compensation for this role is up to £46,500 per annum pro rata. There will be international travel involved with the role.

We are seeking applicants who are from a Process Engineering or closely related background, who have experience working with engineering projects to ensure factory readiness for initial monitored production and collaborate with global factories on innovation and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for understanding technology and facilitating its handover from R&D to ensure a smooth transition from small-scale to large-scale production.
Collaborating with global factories and R&D to ensure they understand the technology requirements for all new innovations.
Monitor the production process during product launch, ensuring the manufacturing partner performs regular tests to identify early-stage issues.
Ensure the manufacturing partner monitors all RM & PM QC clearance activities, highlighting issues as per agreed frequencies and criteria.
Attention to detail to ensure proper manufacturing, installation, and operation of products.
Communicate and ensure all Critical Control Points (CCPs) are in place at the manufacturing partner for various product categories.
Regularly review Line QC inspection data with the Quality team and the manufacturing partner as part of monthly reviews.
Serve as the interface between the 3PM quality/production team and QA, Engineering, and R&D teams.
Support quality and engineering investigations in partnership with R&D and Regional QA leads.
Review engineering standards, process controls, and quality parameters during process capability trials.
Actively participate in commercial start-ups, ensuring all QA checks and balances are in place.
Assist the QA team in investigating top consumer complaints, reviewing monthly/quarterly complaint data, and working with the regional QA lead and manufacturing partners to find solutions.
Ensure quality controls are in place for all upstream and downstream processes.
Lead HACCP and FMEA for new products in contract manufacturing.
Stakeholder Management: Interact with internal and external stakeholders on a project basisRequirements:

Background in Process Engineering, or closely related area from an FMCG or equivalent fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis and devise suitable preventive action plans
Strong understanding of Quality management systems
Experience in working with external and 3rd party suppliers in the development and delivery of technical solutions to complex problems
Ability to work with speed and perfection and lead certain engineering improvement programmes as well as QA/QC projects from start to end
Have strong communication, negotiating and influencing skills with diverse, multi-functional stakeholders
End-to-end process management, ability to understand the big picture but also comfortable with details and managing the operations
Independent, self-starter, ability to discover opportunities and grow the business.
Ability to work with various cross-functional team members externally and internally.
Personal Care FMCG experience with liquids/aerosols etc highly desirable
