Description:

I'm currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to work on Hinkley Point C.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations, analysis, and reporting for the Hinkley Point C project.
Design and oversee geotechnical projects, including foundations, retaining structures, and ground improvement.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of geotechnical solutions with overall project design and construction.
Perform site inspections and supervise field activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
Provide expert advice on geotechnical matters to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools.
Comprehensive understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and geotechnical design principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
