Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Full Day)

Overview:

A forward-thinking school in Hertfordshire, is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Geography Teacher to enrich our academic team, starting September 2024. This role will involve teaching Geography to students at both GCSE and A-Level, fostering a deep understanding of the subject and encouraging a lasting interest in the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that comply with the GCSE and A-Level curriculum, engaging students and stimulating their curiosity about the world.

* Evaluate and monitor students' progress through assessments and provide detailed feedback to foster development.

* Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports and challenges students, promoting enthusiasm for learning.

* Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school-wide professional development.

* Collaborate with colleagues to develop new teaching materials and integrate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK.

* Proven experience teaching Geography within a UK school environment.

* Current Safeguarding and Prevent training completed within the last year.

* Right to Work in the UK.

* An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.

* Two professional references related to childcare or education, covering the last two years.
