Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Geography Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Middlesbrough, with an immediate start available. The department is looking for a specialist who can deliver confident, well-structured Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 and slot into an established team without a lengthy settling-in period.

Geography is a subject that lends itself to genuinely engaging teaching — real world issues, current events, and a curriculum that connects directly to the world students are growing up in. The school is looking for a teacher who brings that perspective into the classroom and uses it to get the best out of their students.

What you'll be doing:

Planning and delivering Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
Assessing student progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Maintaining high standards of classroom management and student engagement
Contributing to fieldwork, departmental planning, and whole-school events
Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities
To be considered:

QTS or equivalent
A degree in Geography or a closely related discipline
Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and a student-centred approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
