GSL Education are looking for qualified Geography Teacher to work at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary School located in Selby, North Yorkshire for a September 2024 start.

Geography Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive Geography lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and school policies.
Designing assessments to evaluate students' knowledge and understanding of the subject.
Ensure inclusion and accessibility for all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Identifying and addressing the diverse learning needs of students.
Maintaining open communication with parents or guardians to update them on students' progress, areas for improvement, and any concerns related to their academic performance or behavior.
Provide guidance and supervision to students outside of regular classroom hours.
Geography Teacher requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in Geography education.
Proven experience teaching Geography at the Secondary School level.
Be able to provide relevant references from within the last 2 years. Placements for ECTs will be accepted.
Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply a for a new one through GSL Education.
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for Geography.
Passion for Geography education and a commitment to inspiring and motivating students.
