Job Duties:
Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students in line with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
Assess and provide feedback on students' work to support their learning and development
Implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience
Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) qualification
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in the relevant subject
Education and Experience:
Enthusiastic and positive attitude
Passion for working with young people
Understanding of safeguarding procedures
Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
Passion for working with young people and fostering a positive learning environment
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the importance of student welfare
Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training in educational leadership or special educational needs (SEN) is advantageous
