Our client is looking to recruit a Geo-Environmental Engineer / Geologist to their team in Leeds. You will have 3 to 6 years of experience in the areas of: geo-environmental site investigation, assessment, remediation, validation, contract management, planning and regulatory liaison.
The successful candidate would use their working knowledge of the industry during their day-to-day tasks, such as: contaminated land legislation, planning regime to provide geo-environmental ground investigation scoping and generic risk assessments. This role requires a good understanding of geology, ground models and geotechnical engineering, interpretative report writing and reviewing. A thorough understanding of generic and detailed quantitative risk assessment for human health, ground gases and volatiles and Controlled Water, including best practice guidance, is essential.
Our client is also expecting you to have a good understanding of existing and emerging remedial options, experience in compiling options, appraisal reports and remedial strategies and method statements.
