Electrical Generator Technician
 
Location: Great Yarmouth, with travel to offshore/onshore sites
 
Are you a skilled Electrical Generator Technician looking for a new challenge? Our client is seeking a talented individual to deliver technically competent installations, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance support for customers both onshore and offshore. Key Responsibilities:

Workshop-Based Operations: Primarily based at our Great Yarmouth workshop, with the ability to travel to offshore/onshore sites at short notice.
Comprehensive Service Delivery: Conduct scheduled maintenance, repairs, enhancements, and refurbishments of rental/sale packages in accordance with company procedures.
Technical Expertise: Perform P&ID walk downs, electrical completion checks, factory acceptance tests, function/loop checks, instrument checks, and site acceptance tests.
Collaboration and Communication: Liaise effectively with the Workshop Supervisor, project teams, management, clients, and vendors to support operational activities.
Work Order Management: Prepare, review, and fulfil work orders as needed for various operational activities.
After Sales Services: Provide inspections, spares, advice/recommendations, and liaise with engineering departments as necessary under management direction.
On-Call Support: Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, ensuring top-tier service support is provided. Qualifications and Experience:

Technical Background: Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Preferred Certifications: City & Guilds 2382-18 18th Edition, City & Guilds HV Switching & System Control 0672, COMPEX certification.
Essential Experience: Proven electrical knowledge within installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance environments, including offshore work.
Engineering Skills: Ability to interpret and mark up engineering drawings.
Desirable Experience: Familiarity with Deep Sea control systems, PLC programming skills, and experience with Cummins, Iveco, Perkins engines. Skills and Knowledge:

Strong understanding of relevant industry standards.
Knowledge of diesel and gas-driven generators.
Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Career Development: Our client is committed to the growth and development of their team.
