General SEN/SEMH Teacher

Location: Stockport (SK6
Contract: Full-Time, Long Term
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking for a compassionate, resilient and dedicated General SEN/SEMH Teacher to join our specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to achieve success both academically and personally.

Working within a supportive environment, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons.
Support pupils with a range of SEN and SEMH needs.
Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Develop positive relationships that promote trust, confidence and engagement.
Implement behaviour support strategies and promote emotional wellbeing.
Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress and attainment.
Work collaboratively with parents, support staff and external agencies.
Contribute to EHCP reviews and individual support plans.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
Patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and positive outcomes for all pupils.
