A St Helens Secondary are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team in September 2024.

Role Overview: We are looking for an inspirational and innovative Science Teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage and motivate students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering exciting and challenging lessons that inspire a love for science.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to the diverse needs of all students.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and whole-school initiatives.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in science education.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in science or a related field.
Proven experience teaching science at the secondary school level is preferred, but NQTs are also welcome to apply.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
