General Operative (Maintenance Team)

Description:

We currently have a temporary vacancy for a General Operative to assist with maintenance duties and provide support services for the facility users.

Reporting to Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the key responsibility will include:

Undertaking general maintenance and cleaning duties throughout all areas of the facility
Delivery of fuel and fresh water to vessels
Undertaking safety inspections and checks of the Client's property under the Supervision of the Facilities Supervisor
Assist in mooring vessels at wharves and quays
Acting as a marine operative on an ad-hoc basis
Assisting other members of Operations Team in the undertaking of their duties
Undertaking shift working as and when required including weekend working
Responsible for complying with good working and safety practice associated with the post and adhering to Health and Safety at all times

Working hours: Monday- Friday 09:30-17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break).

Candidates must be flexible working shifts / weekends.

Good work ethic, excellent organisational and communication skills and also health & safety awareness are crucial in this role.

Previous labouring experience would also be beneficial.
