Job Responsibilities

Assist in carrying out general maintenance tasks across the site, supporting tradespeople and ensuring timely completion of work.
Provide professional assistance to staff and contractors, including escorting duties when required.
Perform DIY tasks such as decorating, hanging notice boards, building furniture, and repairing items around the premises.
Inspect appliances, fittings, and the overall environment to ensure they are in good working order, reporting any defects to the Team Leader.
Maintain good housekeeping standards, including litter picking and landscaping around the grounds as needed.
Support facilities management duties as directed by the team manager.
Contribute to local and organisational zero carbon initiatives, working strategically to reduce carbon footprint where appropriate.
Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to across all activities and within the wider contract.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in DIY and general building maintenance.
Relevant CITB certification or equivalent qualification.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving requirements.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

Additional Information

This role involves working 39 hours per week across a 7-day rota, including working 1 in 4 weekends with an additional 15% weekend allowance. The position is on-site at our client's facility in Retford, UK, offering a dynamic environment where your skills will directly contribute to the safety and wellbeing of the community.
