General Operative – North Derby
Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent | Monday to Friday | Site Based
SF Partners are supporting a loyal client who are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join a busy manufacturing team based in Heanor.
This is a full-time, site-based opportunity starting on a temporary basis, with a view to becoming permanent for the right person.
The role will support day-to-day production operations, helping to ensure stock and materials are managed effectively and the working environment remains clean, organised and safe.
Duties will include:
Receiving and dispatching goods
Moving, handling and organising stock and materials
Maintaining an orderly stock management process throughout the facility
General housekeeping and keeping internal and external work areas clean and tidy
Assisting with the correct disposal of waste
Supporting general production and operative duties as required
Following site health and safety procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience within a general operative, warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience operating forklift trucks or Overhead Cranes, valid certificates required
Physically fit and comfortable working within a hands-on role
Reliable, organised and able to manage multiple tasks
Good verbal and written communication skills
A positive attitude towards health and safety
Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, would be advantageous
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
£12.71 – £13 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
