Position Overview & Purpose
The Facilities Management General Manager can be based in London , Watford or one of our Southern locations and will involve working on one of our prestigious contracts in the South UK , you will be leading and supporting FM growth, work winning and mobilisations.

In the initial phases of employment this will be by leading the strategic continuous improvement of the management and delivery of existing term projects and programmes alongside the existing Skanska Building Services portfolio leads, as well as specific projects to ensure the development of FM technology and systems, supply chain partnerships, productivity and procedures as necessary.

Once embedded within the business and existing projects the role will also require the supporting of work winning, bidding and mobilisations, or alternatively taking the lead of existing contracts to facilitate business growth and the progression of incumbent leaders.

Additional responsibilities will encompass working in collaboration with the wider Skanska FM portfolio to drive continuity, share best practice and add value to clients and customers.

What you'll do as a Facilities Management General Manager :

* Full profit and accountability for projects. Responsible for the delivery of Hard and potentially soft Services as well as an overview of project works. Annual revenues between £5 &£10m p.a.

* Lead and develop operations, technical compliance, Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental management.

* Leverage experience of: Hard Facilities Management; productivity; profitability improvement; small works; lifecycle works; cultural improvement and change; management information and data rationalisation; soft and full mobilisation - to improve contract delivery in support of incumbent teams and deliver work winning.

* To fully understand the contract operationally and commercially and set commensurate targets. Accurately report progress each month,

What you’ll bring to the role:

* A strong leader, operationally, commercially and financially astute, with the ability to form positive leadership and clear direction to a wide-ranging team.

* An experienced operations background with at least 2 years’ experience managing contract P&L, projects service delivery, and with experience of at least 5 significant FM contract mobilisations.

* Likely to hold a further professional qualification.

* Experience of a breadth of FM sectors and markets.

* Holding, having previously held, or able to hold SC security status.
