Lead a Busy Food-Led Business Without Sacrificing Your Work-Life Balance

Are you a hands-on General Manager who enjoys being involved in the kitchen as much as the front of house? Do you take pride in serving consistently great food, developing your team, and running a smooth, profitable operation?

We're looking for an experienced General Manager to lead a well-established, high-volume restaurant and takeaway. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a genuine operational role where food quality, standards and team development are just as important as commercial success.

If you're happiest leading from the front, supporting both FOH and BOH, and creating a positive culture where people enjoy coming to work, we'd love to hear from you.

General Manager - What's in it for you?

* £38,000-£40,000 basic salary

* Performance bonus

* A genuine focus on work-life balance

* Free meals whilst on shift

* Paid birthday off

* Retail and lifestyle discounts

* Cycle to Work scheme and technology purchase scheme

* Company pension

* Employee Assistance Programme

* Death in Service benefit

* Ongoing training, development and genuine opportunities for progression

General Manager - About the Role:

As General Manager, you'll have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business. You'll lead, coach and motivate your team while ensuring every guest receives excellent food and service.

This is a role for someone who isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up. You'll be comfortable supporting kitchen operations when needed, maintaining high food standards and ensuring the business consistently delivers an exceptional product.

General Manager - Responsibilities:

* Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team

* Manage all day-to-day restaurant operations

* Take ownership of P&L performance and drive profitability

* Recruit, train and develop your people

* Maintain exceptional food safety and health & safety standards

* Manage stock, ordering and labour costs effectively

* Ensure outstanding customer service at every opportunity

* Work closely with both front and back of house to maintain operational excellence

About You

You'll be an experienced Assistant Manager, General Manager, Restaurant Manager or Senior Hospitality Manager with experience in a fast-paced food business.

You'll also have:

* Experience managing high-volume hospitality or QSR operations

* Confidence leading both FOH and BOH teams

* A passion for delivering consistently great food

* Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and P&L

* Excellent people management and coaching skills

* A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to support wherever needed

* Good knowledge of food safety, compliance and operational standards

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact, enjoy a healthier work-life balance, and be part of a business that genuinely values quality, people and progression, we'd love to hear from you.
