Description
The General Manager will be responsible for:
Management of the operational contracts.
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency.
Manage and mentor a high-performing logistics team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the facility.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Support with and initiate new contract discussion on behalf of the business
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support with the implementation.
Accountability for the P&L, including forecasting and planning.
Monitor key performance indicators and take corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure the necessary health and safety assessment are carried out.
Manage the team and site to conform to ISO 9002.Profile
The successful General Manager should have:
CPC holder
An educational background in business, logistics, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing a transport and distribution facility.
Demonstrate successful management and planning of a P&L
Knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding communication and client relationship skills.
Change management experience with a focus on continuous improvement and transformational knowledge.
People leader with the ability to create succession plans
Aspiring person looking to progress the operation, team and themselves.
