Description:
General Manager required for an award-winning independent travel agency based in Wiltshire. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the office and managing a small team. This role is Monday to Friday with some Saturdays and pays a salary of up to £30,000 plus bonus.
General Manager responsibilities:
Lead and motivate the team to hit and exceed sales targets and provide high levels of customer service
Take care of shop merchandise and ensure social media is up to date
Attend supplier events and develop relationships with suppliers
Report activity and sales figures to the operations director
Interview and recruit staff, conduct monthly catch ups and job reviews and constantly monitor and coach staff
Be hands on with bookings and contributing to salesGeneral Manager skills required:
Excellent communication and people skills
Previous leadership experience in the travel industry
Sound knowledge of the retail travel industry
Working knowledge of a GDS - Sabre preferredAdditional information:
Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.30pm and 2 Saturdays per month 9.30am-5pm
