Lead from the Front on Essential Infrastructure Projects

Are you an experienced General Foreman looking to take the next step in your career?

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on leader to support the successful delivery of highway and infrastructure projects across North Lanarkshire. If you thrive on leading site teams, coordinating daily operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

Working closely with Project Managers, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day management of highway and civil engineering schemes. From planning works and coordinating labour to managing subcontractors and maintaining quality standards, you'll be instrumental in keeping projects running safely, on programme and within budget.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead day-to-day site operations across highway and infrastructure projects.

Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials.

Support Project Managers with planning, programming and project delivery.

Champion Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards across all works.

Monitor productivity, quality and programme performance.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.

Maintain accurate project records and support commercial reporting.

Identify risks and help deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

About You

You'll be an experienced General Foreman or Site Supervisor with a strong background in highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

You'll also have:

Full UK Driving Licence.

Experience leading site teams and managing subcontractors.

Strong understanding of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and safe systems of work.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A proactive approach to problem solving and maintaining high standards.

Desirable:

Experience working on highways or local authority infrastructure contracts.

Knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction Health & Safety.

Experience using scheduling or project management software.
