Job Title: General Foreman
Location: Dunbridge
Rate: £350 per day Limited or PAYE Umbrella
Job Description
An excellent contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Foreman to join a major heavy civils project. This hands-on role will see you leading day-to-day site operations, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
You will oversee daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and programme requirements. You'll carry out daily planning meetings, plant and safety inspections, supervise temporary works, maintain site records and diaries, and liaise with the site management team to coordinate access, permits, and work sequencing. Strong leadership and communication skills will be essential in driving works forward and maintaining a productive site environment.
Requirements
You must have previous experience as a General Foreman within heavy civils, utilities, or pipeline construction. A strong understanding of temporary works, plant compliance, and subcontractor management is essential. CSCS Gold/Black Card, SMSTS, and Temporary Works Supervisor are required, with First Aid desirable.
