Description:
We’re recruiting a General Foreman to a Principal Civil Contractor. With a pipeline of secure projects across the West and East Midlands, this is a great opportunity for you to enjoy many years of stable employment close to home.
Initially working on a project in Shropshire, you’ll help to deliver around £50M of scope including drainage, earthworks, RC and ducting. The bulk of this will be self-delivered meaning you’ll have full control of all plant and labour.
You will be working within an organisation where self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic individuals thrive.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
Produce schedules and monitor attendance of staff
Allocate general and daily responsibilities
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
Monitor budget
Resolve problems when they arise
Report on progress of projects
To be successful in this position, you will:
Hold a CSCS Card (manager)
Have an SMSTS
Have extensive experience in managing the delivery of civil engineering scope, gained working for a Tier 2 or Tier 1 Main Contractor
