Job Title: KS3 & KS4 General Cover Supervisor
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Contract: Full Time, Long Term
Start Date: September 2024
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). This is a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment. Your Role:
Deliver pre-prepared lessons and resources according to the teacher's instructions.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using appropriate strategies to maintain discipline and encourage engagement.
Provide support and guidance to students, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during lessons.
Keep accurate records of attendance and any significant incidents during class time.
Collaborate with teaching staff and senior leadership to uphold the school's policies and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. (Or willing to obtain one)
Experience working with Key Stage 3/4 students is desirable.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and behaviour management skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to work with different classes and subjects.
Relevant qualifications or training in education would be advantageous
