Cantily Construction Ltd is expanding our reinstatement team and we are looking for an experienced General Builder / Carpenter to work on private residential properties affected by fire, water, and impact damage. This role suits someone who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship, communicates well with clients, and can work independently across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out reinstatement works following fire, flood, and impact damage

* First and second fix carpentry, plasterboarding, studwork, flooring, doors, skirting, and general building tasks

* Kitchen and bathroom reinstatement (advantageous)

* Liaise professionally with homeowners, loss adjusters, and project managers

* Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all H&S requirements

* Complete works to Cantily’s high standards with accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements

* Full UK driving licence

* CSCS card

* Strong experience in domestic reinstatement or general building

* Ability to work independently and problem‑solve on site

* Good communication and customer‑facing skills

* Eligibility to work in the UK

Useful (but not essential)

* Own van

* Own tools

* Experience working with insurers or loss adjusters

* Multi‑trade skills (tiling, plastering, decorating, basic plumbing)
