GCSE English & Maths Tutor - Sefton
The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting GCSE English & Maths Tutors to support secondary-aged learners across Sefton.
The role involves delivering tailored 1:1 sessions to students who may need additional support with their GCSE studies. You'll help learners identify areas for development, strengthen their subject knowledge and build the confidence needed to succeed.
Position Details
* Location: Sefton
* Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths
* QTS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Good knowledge of the GCSE curriculum
* The ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs
To be eligible, you must:
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply
* Provide two professional child-related references
