The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching is recruiting dedicated GCSE English & Maths Tutors to support secondary-aged learners throughout Chester.
This rewarding role involves delivering engaging 1:1 tuition to students preparing for their GCSE examinations. Whether learners need to close knowledge gaps, improve confidence or boost predicted grades, you'll provide tailored support that helps them reach their full potential.
Position Details
* Location: Chester
* Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications
We're looking for tutors who have:
* Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths
* QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
* Strong curriculum knowledge
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
To be eligible, you must:
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
* Provide two professional child-related references
