Are you confident delivering GCSE Maths or English? Prospero Teaching are recruiting tutors across Halton!
The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching is currently looking for experienced GCSE English & Maths Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition to learners across Halton.
You'll work with individual students who may require additional support with their GCSE studies, helping them close learning gaps, improve their subject knowledge and prepare for their examinations.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong Maths specialism, although applications from English specialists are also welcome.

Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: OngoingExperience, Training and Qualifications:
Experience delivering GCSE Maths and/or English
Strong understanding of the relevant GCSE curriculum
QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable
Experience delivering 1:1 tuition is advantageous
Ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs
Excellent communication skillsTo be eligible for this role, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to obtain a new application
