GCSE English & Maths Tutor - St Helens
Are you an experienced English or Maths teacher looking for flexible tutoring work? Prospero Teaching want to hear from you!
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting GCSE English & Maths Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition to students across the St Helens area.
You will work closely with individual learners to identify gaps in their knowledge, deliver targeted lessons and help them develop the confidence and skills required to succeed in their GCSE studies.
Position Details:
Location: St Helens
Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths
Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum
QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Previous 1:1 tutoring experience is desirable
Ability to adapt teaching to individual learners
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
