Gas Engineer

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Hackney Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for a Gas Engineer this role will be: E8 1DT.

The right candidate will:

* Carry out to a high standard all aspects of service, repair, maintain and install gas hot water and heating systems and appliances. To carry out a wide range of gas and other associated works in accordance with contract requirements and The Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998. Undertake a broad range of multi-skilled repair activities outside of the basic trade such as minor plumbing, electrical and finishing works to provide a comprehensive repair service.

* Work at heights from a temporary access e.g. scaffolding, ladders, mobile tower and erect temporary work platforms.

* Assess works, diagnose faults and decide on the best remedy or rectification. Accurately measure, quantify and list materials requirements.

* To carry out works with minimum disruption to the service users and ensure the premises are left clean and tidy

We require the following:

* Experience working within a local authority DESIRABLE.

* Hold a clean UK Drivers Licence

* City and Guilds in Heating & Ventilation or NVQ Level 3 equivalent or relevant experience.

* ACS qualifications CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, WAT1, CKR1, MET1, C&G 6084 Energy Efficiency.
