Description:
We require Gas Engineers to start immediately on a large social housing scheme in Kirkby in Ashfield on behalf of the council.
This position is a temporary to permanent role.
The Client
Our client is a large main contractor who operates nationwide and works alongside councils, housing associations and insurance companies.
The Role
Main duties as a Gas Engineer can vary on a day to day basis which consist of -
Testing boilers and Gas Fire
Smoke Alarm and carbon dioxide checks
Responding to call outs for maintenance and breakdown repairs
Installing Flues
Installing Cookers/breakdowns
Customer Service skills - resolving any issues that may arise and working with vulnerable tenantsThe working hours are 40 hours per week.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Gas Engineer
Gas Safe Registered - Desirable
Social Housing Experience
CCNI - Core Domestic Gas Safety
CENWAT - Domestic Central Heating & Hot Water
CKR1 - Domestic Gas Cooing Appliances
HTR1 - Domestic Fan Assisted Flued Gas Fires & Wall Heaters
CMDDA1 (Carbon Monoxide Testing Training - ideal, but not essential)
Own Tools
Own Van
CSCS/JIB card
Asbestos Awareness or be willing to take the online test
Must be able to provide 2 x check able references if you haven't worked with Fawkes & Reece beforeBenefits
The rate of pay is £22 per hour
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Permanent position after 3 months
