As a Gardener, you will help create and maintain safe, welcoming, and attractive outdoor spaces that make a real difference to our residents and communities. Using your gardening, landscaping, and practical maintenance skills, you'll enhance homes and communal environments across Staffordshire, ensuring they remain places people can be proud of.
What you’ll do:
* You’ll deliver grounds maintenance tasks like lawn mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding and litter picking.
* Complete other tasks including gutter cleaning, fence and gate repairs and small-scale home repairs for our residents.
* Use powered equipment such as brush cutters, hedge cutters, lawn mowers and leaf blowers.
* Perform landscaping works to help improve our outdoor spaces.
* You may be required to drive company vans and tow trailers to enable delivery of the service.
* Use good communication skills to make daily phone calls, send and reply to emails, and attend regular one to-one meetings throughout the year.
Who you are:
* Knowledgeable in the delivery of grounds maintenance.
* Ability to carry-out small-scale property repairs.
* Have experience in working in all weathers.
* Have experience and knowledge of safe working practices.
* Hold an understanding of what great customer service is.
* Have a positive outlook and problem-solving skills.
* Educated (or equivalent knowledge) to NVQ level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent.
* Willingness to learn new skills and committed to continuous improvement.
* A full UK driving licence (desirable)
