Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Overhead Gantry Crane Operator for a contract role on a major converter station project based in Swaffham, Norfolk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of overhead gantry cranes, supporting site lifting and material-handling activities in line with project procedures and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate overhead gantry cranes safely and efficiently.
* Carry out lifting and material-handling activities as directed.
* Complete pre-use checks and report any defects or issues.
* Work closely with the site lifting team and other trades.
* Follow all site safety procedures, lifting plans and instructions.
* Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
Requirements
* Previous experience operating overhead gantry cranes.
* Valid crane operator certification required.
* Relevant site experience, ideally within construction, energy or industrial projects.
* Good understanding of lifting operations and site safety requirements.
* Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team.
* Working pattern Monday - Saturday 12 hour days.
