Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for a Ganger to begin work for a well-established company working on a major project in Orkney. Candidates can be based in Edinburgh.
About the role:
Working Hours - 12 days on / 2 days off OR 11 days on / 3 days off, 7:30am – 6:00pm
Pay Rate - £250 - £300 per day (depending on experience)
Brief Role Description –
We are looking for an experienced Groundworks Ganger to lead a team working on a substation project in Orkney. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising groundworkers, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Duties will include:
* Leading and coordinating a groundworks team
* Overseeing drainage and ducting works
* Ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained
* Supporting day-to-day site operations
* Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed
* Working alongside the project team to deliver works on schedule
* Long-term work until the end of the year
* Start: ASAP
About You:
* High work ethic & strong leadership skills
* Punctual & reliable
* Previous experience as a Groundworks Ganger / Supervisor required
* Experience managing groundworks teams essential
* Experience with drainage and ducting works preferred
* CSCS required
* SSSTS required
* First Aid required
* Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
