Are you an experienced groundworker looking for a role where you can lead by example and make a real impact on essential infrastructure projects? We're looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Ganger to support the delivery of wastewater network repairs and maintenance works, working hands-on alongside an operative to complete a variety of excavation and reinstatement activities across the Southern Water network.

Vacancy Introduction

As a Ganger, you will work as part of a two-person team carrying out a range of groundworks activities to support wastewater network maintenance and repair operations. Taking a hands-on approach, you will be responsible for completing excavations, reinstatements, concrete works, manhole repairs, and other civils tasks safely and to a high standard. Alongside undertaking the work yourself, you will coordinate day-to-day site activities, ensure safe working practices are followed, and support the efficient delivery of planned and reactive works. Working outdoors in a variety of environments, you will play a vital role in helping keep essential wastewater services operating effectively for customers and communities.

Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England. We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response, and rehabilitation works. Our capability is underpinned by a substantial fleet of specialist vehicles, including vacuum tankers, jetting units, and CCTV survey equipment, supported by advanced technology for rapid diagnostics and effective solutions. With a reputation for safety, reliability, and technical expertise, Cappagh Browne plays a critical role in protecting communities and maintaining essential infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

Experience carrying out groundworks, civils, utilities, or drainage activities.
Ability to coordinate and work alongside an operative to deliver work safely and efficiently.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements, including safe excavation practices.
Practical experience of excavations, reinstatements, concrete works, and general civils activities.
A proactive and reliable approach, with pride taken in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Full UK Driving Licence.
NRSWA Streetworks and CAT & Genny qualifications.Why Join Us?
