What we are looking for

Working at our City Campus Manchester, as a Games Development teacher, you will report into our head of department. You will have the opportunity to Introduce students to Game Art career pathways and industry standards. Provide hands-on project-based learning, supporting students in creating their own Game Art assets utilising industry software and tools. Work with a team of dedicated and enthusiastic teachers all working towards the same common goal, educating our future.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Game Art and Development, covering topics such as game design principles.
Instructing students in the use of industry-standard game development software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Provide individualised support and feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.
Develop and update curriculum materials to align with industry trends and best practices.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
Conduct and mark assessments adhering to internal and external verification processes.
Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of progress.
Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in the game development industry.To be successful in this role, you will need:

Certificate of education or PGCE
Current and valid industry specialism
Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
English and maths minimum level 2, grade C or grade 4 and aboveAbout us
