Further Education Teacher (SEND)
 
Beaumont College, Carlisle is a very special place and we are seeking to extend our work-family in response to increased demand for places at the college. If you have as passion to support some of the most vulnerable special school leavers to fulfil their potential, through support for the planned, high quality delivery of learning, this role is for you.
We are seeking to appoint a teacher with a passion to support special school leavers in their journey to prepare for adulthood.  Ideally having experience of working with learners who identify as SEND, you will be creative and able to adapt learning to support learning and personal development.
Your team will include teachers, tutors and learning support colleagues. On a regular, you will also work with a skilled and experienced team of student support workers, with small class sizes and high levels of support. Out pathways are highly personalised and alongside Preparing for Adult Hood, learners will each have a bespoke package of health and support interventions including physio and hydro therapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy, access to a skilled and experienced team of assistive tec
hnologist, and positive behaviour practitioners.
Vocational themes of learning support students to make progress, both educationally and in self-advocacy, confidence, self-belief and resilience in preparation for life beyond college in busy and fulfilling destinations.

Should have experience of working with SEND young people, in education. Qualified in FE teaching to Level 5 or above, or qualified by experience. QTS eligible to apply as is Cert Ed, DTTLS etc. Have or be willing to complete a L5 FE Teaching Qualification if not held , be willing to undertake
