Description:
We are currently looking for a CAD Solidworks Furniture Designer to join our design team.
Salary: £27,000-£35,000 per annum depending on experience.
Working hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm (can have some flexibility on working day to suit commute).
Full-time office based role.
Duties:
* Responsible for taking client briefs, concept and inspiration drawings and images from our Project Managers to then produce both detailed line drawings and rendered imagery for client approval, along with detailed production drawing packs for our in-house workshop, and component suppliers under the guidance of our Design Manager & Technical Director.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of Solidworks and Solidworks Visualize is essential.
* Knowledge of Autodesk Fusion beneficial but not essential.
* Knowledge of Photoshop preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of AlphaCam preferred but not essential.
* Minimum 2 years experience as a Designer within the furniture/joinery industry.
* Experience in designing Hard Joinery Furniture is preferred.
* Experience in designing furniture that incorporates Metal, Glass components is preferred.
* In a pivotal role within the Design team, working with Project Managers, Production Managers and the Production Team so a requirement to be highly organised.
